The Radio Communications Foundation (RCF) is the UK radio amateurs own charity. It is dedicated to advancing the pasttime of amateur radio. It has particulary supported schools and those in education. It is the major and primary supporter of GB4FUN, it has supported bursaries for young radio amateurs through the Arkwright Fellowships, as well as individual school radio and technology clubs. The RCF is a partner with Ofcom to manage the standards of the Radio Amateur Examination syllabus and examination processes itself.' For a biography of Bob Whelan
