The Radio Communications Foundation (RCF) is the UK radio amateurs own charity. It is dedicated to advancing the pasttime of amateur radio. It has particulary supported schools and those in education. It is the major and primary supporter of GB4FUN, it has supported bursaries for young radio amateurs through the Arkwright Fellowships, as well as individual school radio and technology clubs. The RCF is a partner with Ofcom to manage the standards of the Radio Amateur Examination syllabus and examination processes itself.'

This was an educational and interesting evening which was well received by the members. Our thanks to Bob for making the journey from Cambridge to explain in detail how the RCF came into being and the work it does to promote the hobby.
