8 May 2007 - John Davy's Morse Key Collection

John Davy-G4PYB,  KLARC's President Elect kindly brought some of his morse keys to club and gave us information about them. Although John has only been collecting these for a few years his collection includes some really historic and interesting examples. It is to his credit that he and people like him take enough interest to preserve items of this nature before they fall prey to the scrap heap and are lost forever. John also brought with him a couple of 'signalling lamps' but despite his best efforts he couldn't get the bit of wire warm enough to demonstrate them (maybe another time).

Members were able to try a selection of the keys as he also brought with him the necessary audio oscillators.
